I totally agree with the personality angle on this one. I have two daughters and like your two kids, mine are total opposites. You'd think that with them both being girls, same mommy and daddy, same house, really everything is much the same, that they would be similar in some ways. This is not true at all.

Eldest DD is the quiet thinker, like your Alexa. She has always been a watcher, not a doer. She eats like a bird, is shy and timid. She has always been wary of strangers and new experiences take her a few times for her to get used to. She was a great sleeper and slept through the night early. She was an easy baby/child.

My 10 month old is the adventurer. She is outgoing and afraid of nothing. She is LOUD!!! She eats like there will never be any food again. She loves people and will go to anyone. She was a horrible sleeper and would wake up every two hours all night long for 6 months at least. She just started sleeping in to 6:15 in the last 2 days. She was a HARD baby, but she is adorable and sweet and so many other things that make up for the horribleness that was her first 4 months of life. She had bad reflux so I don't blame her, I blame the Reflux that made her hurt so bad that she would scream for hours apon hours.

But anyway like you said. Totally opposite children in every way. And I love it!! What fun would it be with two children who were exactly alike? It's better to have them mix things up and at our house we never know what's going to happen. It makes me wonder what our third child will be like? A combo of the girls or something new altogether. Only time will tell.
