The T-Ball That Wasn’t
Jaimie on Aug 1st 2008
Yesterday was CJ’s last T-Ball class for the summer. And in true preschooler fashion, he decided this was the day he would behave more horribly than he ever has before. If it wasn’t for the fact they were getting certificates at the end since it was the last one, I think I would have just given up and taken him home halfway through. He did both t-ball and soccer this summer, and he genuinely seems to enjoy soccer, while he’s not really all that enthused by t-ball. So we might not even do it next summer, therefore I wanted him to get his t-ball certificate. Even though I came within about 5 seconds of just taking him home anyway.
And then…
They didn’t even have certificates! The coaches claim the program ran out of them. Um. I paid for the class, CJ should get a certificate. I think I will call the Parks and Rec department to complain. We hang the certificates up in CJ’s room and I am very irritated by this.
At least… at least my child was not the one that when the coaches gave them all bags of animal crackers as their last class goodbye treat, handed it back and said “I don’t want those, those stink, I want candy.” My child just said thank you. At least there is that.
it helps that CJ thinks animal crackers are “candy”… I wonder how much longer I am going to be able to keep up that charade. ![]()
